Big Sky Mountain Hosts lead a FREE orientation tour of our four mountains every day at 10:45 am and 1:00 pm—weather and ski conditions permitting. Our tours usually last about 90 minutes and are designed for INTERMEDIATE skiers and above.
The meeting place for the tours from Big Sky Base Area is just outside the Mountain Sports beginner ski area (roped off blue snow fence) to the right of the Swift Current chair. Please arrive five minutes early so we can try to group participants according to skiing ability and terrain interests (if applicable).
Tours are given on GREEN (beginner) and BLUE (intermediate) runs only, although our knowledgable Hosts will point out the BLACK (advanced/expert) runs and will answer questions regarding all of the terrain.
No advanced reservations are required for the tours, although we do ask that ski groups contact us in advance so we can make sure we have enough Hosts to lead all the skiers.
